As a GUASFCU Intern, you will have the unique ability to gain hands-on experience while working at the nation’s largest completely student-run financial institution. During the first semester of your internship, you will learn how to manage basic transactions on the teller line, while also shadowing each department in GUASFCU. After your first semester, you will be placed into one of our six core departments, and have the opportunity to join GUASFCU’s leadership team at the Executive and Board levels.
Prospective interns interested in Technology or Marketing are highly encouraged to apply as a Fast-Track applicant for the Marketing or IT departments. Fast-Track tellers will still complete the traditional tellering experience, but will also matriculate into either the Marketing or IT departments simultaneously.
The IT Department is seeking applicants with basic computer skills interested in hardware, software, and the intersection of tech and finance. IT applicants will gain real-world experience with network security, system optimization, hardware upkeep, cloud computing, VPNs, and more. Since IT is an auxiliary department, IT Fast-Tracks will still matriculate into one of GUASFCU's six core departments at the conclusion of their tellering experience.
The Marketing Department is seeking creative applicants interested in graphic design, photography, videography, and social content creation. Since Marketing is one of our six core departments, tellers will continue working within the Marketing department at the conclusion of their tellering experience. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro is especially appreciated, but not required.
