ATM and Visa card charges
There are no charges for using your ATM/Visa card at a GUASFCU ATM. If you use another bank's ATM, there is a 75 cent surcharge. There is no charge for using your Visa checkcard to make a purchase. If asked, select "credit" and not "debit".

Lost or stolen cards
Immediately call the Credit Union at (202) 687-3898 to cancel your card. You can also call our 24-hour hotcard line at (800) 554-8969. If the card is found later, you can always call us to remove the block.

Changing a pin number
You can visit our member service anytime to change the pin on your card. Be sure to bring a photo ID with you.

Activating a new Visa card
When you receive a new card, you must call the Credit Union to activate the card before you can begin using it. To speak with a member service representative call (202) 687-3898. In most cases, your card will become active several hours after you call.

Maximum card withdrawals
You can withdrawal up to $300 at an ATM and make up to $1,500 in purchases every business day. Saturday and Sunday are considered one business day.

Making Internet purchases
You can use your card wherever Visa is accepted. When making purchases over the phone or on the internet, be sure to provide your billing address, which is often times the address to where the card was initially shipped. If you specify a different billing address, your purchase may be declined. Please contact a Member Services Representative to verify or change your billing address.

Obtaining a new card
Call our member service office at (202) 687-3898 to request a new card. It usually takes between five and seven business days to receive a card. There is a $5 charge for a new card that will be deducted from your account. A card can be sent overnight for an additional charge of $50.

Where am I able to use my card?
You can use any ATM on the Cash24, Cirrus, Plus, Star and Visa networks. your card works at more than 520,000 ATM’s in more than 120 countries. International Card Use
You should visit http://www.visa.com/pd/lost/main.html before you leave to obtain an international assistance number. That way, if your card is ever lost or stolen you will be able to quickly report it receive a new card.
